Legal notices
Personal information, deposits, and cancellations. Effective Date: August 4, 2026
Personal information
1. Information we collect
We collect essential traveler information including full name, passport copies, valid visa details, travel dates, contact email, and phone number. Passport and visa information is collected to meet Xinjiang hotel check-in and travel real-name registration requirements.
2. How we use data
Information is used only for legal and trip arrangements, including: processing Xinjiang border permits (for example Tashkurgan, Kanas, and Habahe), reserving hotels, registering with local authorities, purchasing travel agency liability insurance, and communicating custom itinerary details with the YuanMu team.
3. Confidentiality and deletion
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with advertisers or commercial entities. Sensitive passport data is removed from active records after the trip according to retention needs. For privacy questions or deletion requests, email us at the address shown on the contact page.
Deposits, cancellation and refunds
1. Deposit
To confirm a custom or small-group itinerary, a deposit of 20% of the total tour price is required. It holds the vehicle, driver, and Xinjiang hotels. This deposit is non-refundable.
2. Cancellation timelines
If you cancel, the following refund tiers apply:
- 60+ days before departure: remaining balance refunded (the 20% deposit is retained).
- 30–59 days before departure: 50% of the total tour price refunded.
- 15–29 days before departure: 30% of the total tour price refunded.
- Fewer than 15 days / no-show: non-refundable.
3. Future travel credit
A portion of retained cancellation fees may, at YuanMu Travel's discretion, be converted into a future travel credit valid for 12 months toward a rescheduled Xinjiang itinerary.
4. Force majeure
In extreme weather (for example Duku Highway closures), natural disasters, or official local road controls, we will help re-route the trip. Refunds for unperformed services due to force majeure depend on recovering funds from hotels, airlines, and other suppliers. Cancellation or date changes must be requested in writing by email, with your booking reference.
